My commitment to supporting BIPOC women and domestic violence survivors began in 2007. For three years, I served at a local courthouse, helping individuals dealing with divorce, child custody, and eviction. Although there are many reasons couples seek divorce, financial challenges and domestic violence are among the most common.

Despite building a career in education, I transitioned to financial services after leaving a physically, emotionally, and psychologically abusive marriage. My dedication to helping those in abusive and toxic relationships is deeply personal and fuels my passion for this work.
I know firsthand the struggles of navigating difficult financial situations: having no emergency fund, accumulating high credit card debt, living paycheck to paycheck, going into collections, and hitting financial rock bottom.
