I loved how this book was written! Girl JUMP is a very personal tell-all about the whirlwinds in life. Justine shares her story of dealing with abusive relationships, bad decisions, and tough financial situations, but what makes it so powerful is how she turns those lessons into actionable advice. The book is full of simple, easy-to-follow tips on saving money, managing your budget, and building a safety net so you’re not stuck in bad situations. It really drives home how important it is to be in control of your finances—because when you are, you can make choices that are best for YOU, whether that’s leaving a toxic relationship or chasing your goals. I love how real and down-to-earth her advice is. It’s not about quick fixes or complicated plans; it’s about staying consistent and being smart with your money. If you’ve ever felt stuck or unsure of how to move forward, this book will give you the push you need. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to take charge of their life and feel more confident about the future.
Who knew a book about financial literacy would be such a page turner! The way the author intertwined her powerful story with easy to follow financial advice keeps you engaged and yearning to know what happens next and how it was achieved. This book is a must read for anyone who is looking for a path to financial freedom. The empathetic and compassionate tone the author uses makes this book very relatable and empowering. Whether you are trying to escape from an abusive relationship or you are just stuck in a tough situation in life, Justine provides an easy step-by-step guide to self talk and self motivation to become independent. Sharing her story and being a voice on such a sensitive topic makes this book so empowering and encouraging to anyone. If you or someone you know needs the inspiration to leave an abusive relationship or need a kick start to being in control of your finances, this book is for you!
I absolutely loved this book. After spending so much time learning about financial literacy on my own, I was blown away by how this book breaks everything down in such a clear and easy-to-understand way. The author's personal story adds so much heart and makes the advice feel relatable and real. Even though I'm not the target audience-I'm in a great relationship with my partner of over eight years-it still gave me a lot to think about. It helped me see some things I hadn't considered before and gave me fresh ideas to improve my financial habits. If you're looking to get a handle on your finances, whether you're just starting out or want a new perspective, this book is definitely worth a read!
I read this book in a day!! I was so hooked on Justine's story. I felt like I was right there with her, riding to that courthouse in the metro in the heels and white dress. She did a great job of sharing her powerful story WHILE teaching us about money. She organized the money education by: 1. sharing a piece of the story 2. then sharing what she learned, 3. then sharing next steps for us (the money education part). She repeated this process until the end of her story/money education. It kept me hooked the entire time and taking baby steps towards organizing my money. Anyone can learn about money through this book. It's about how to be financially independent, it's about mindset, it's about self-love. BUY THE BOOK.

This year, I was selected to run the 2026 Tokyo Marathon my very first Abbott World Marathon Major! It’s been on my vision board for years to complete all 7 World Majors, and Tokyo is the start of that dream.

But what makes this marathon even more meaningful is that I’m running it to raise $4,850 for NO MORE Foundation — an incredible nonprofit that supports domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.

"I have benefited tremendously from the Ignite Your F.I.R.E program! I was able to learn along
with my students and even though I wish I could have learned this earlier in life it's still better
late than never. Thanks to this program I have now opened a high yield savings account with
Ally Bank, like Justine recommended. I have also opened an E-Trade brokerage account and
have invested in about 10 different ETFs like I learned to do thanks to this program."

“I recently consulted with Justine to address my debt and budgeting challenges. I was struggling to create an effective debt repayment plan, but Justine guided me through two approaches to tackle my debt. Thanks to her assistance, I now feel more confident and organized in my budgeting efforts, and I have a solid plan in place to pay off my debt. Before this, I often felt anxious and unable to make progress on reducing my debt. Justine's advice and support have equipped me with the necessary details, plan, and confidence to achieve financial success."

“Before meeting with Justine I was lost, scared, and a little embarrassed about my finances. I knew I had debt (student loans, dental, credit card) but I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. I landed a new better paying job and didn't know how to manage my money. Since working with her, I have less worry and stress about finances. My relationship with money has improved and I'm more confident and financially literate. It was nice to have a non-judgmental & unbiased person to sort my finances with. I have more control over my money, I'm paying off debt, and most importantly I have a plan! I never would have gotten here without Justine and her uplifting and empowering demeanor. Thank you Justine!"

“I was struggling with my money mindset, and how to look at my budget realistically that would serve me for my current life and future. I was carrying a student loan debt for years, always paying the min. I realized I was in the same mindset for money as I was the day those student loans went into my account. Justine was able to set me on the right path and shift my mindset to realize I can pay these student loans off. I was shocked. To realize I could be set free by these limitations and start living that life I desire and want to create for myself, not having to carry this weight of owning the government and have my life on hold. This helped me to take more action to where I can put my finances and not feel so stuck"

This weekend, I crossed the finish line at the @brooklynexperiencehalf! All the training and hard work paid off—ended up running my fastest half marathon in two years! Today, I celebrate not just medal around my neck but the discipline that was put in. You see—building your financial safety net is a lot like training for a race: ✨ It takes commitment ✨ Progress feels slow sometimes—but every step counts ✨ You have to pace yourself, not sprint ✨ There are moments when you want to quit, but you keep going because you owe it to your future self Every savings deposits, debt payment, boundary you set is a mile closer to your financial line of financial freedom. Whether you’re running your first mile or saving your first $100, YOU ARE DOING IT. Keep showing up for yourself, friend! Stay empowered, Justine
…all while SMILING! It starts with running (or walking) away from what no longer serves you. If you’re rebuilding after abuse, do your best to avoid these 4: ♦️ Fear of managing money This could be avoiding budgeting, saving, paying down debt, opening bills, and/or reviewing accounts. YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH MONEY ♦️ Shame about past money decisions We all make financial choices that may not have been great BUT served us at the time. RELEASE THE SHAME BY PRACTICING SELF-COMPASSION ♦️ Relationships that are financially draining Relationships that ask more than what you are willing to give can be exhausting, and can compromise your long-term security. SET BOUNDARIES. THEY ARE ESSENTIAL. ♦️ Fixed mindset of financial capacity You tell yourself “I’m bad with money.” This type of money belief can be limiting your growth. Truth is—LEARNING ABOUT MONEY IS A SKILL, NOT A CHARACTERISTIC. Keep these in mind as you reclaim your financial independence! Big hug, Justine
Here are some ways you can build a healthy relationship with your money: Tell yourself you can trust yourself with money. Shame thrives in silence. Let’s call it out! Start and build your emergency fund. Aim for at least one months worth of expenses to start. You can continue to add more later. Review your spending habits regularly. Where is your money going? Stay on top of cash flow—how much is coming in and how much is coming out. Keep financial documents organized Have a separate bank account that only you have access to, even if you’re married. Forgive yourself when it comes to negative past financial experiences so you can move on Seek help if you don’t understand something Sit down and think about what you VALUE in life and how money plays a role Get in touch with your feelings around money The last TWO points can be the hardest to work through… …but they are also the most important. What you value and how you feel about money greatly impacts the way you will use your money. So focus on those 2️⃣ points first! Rooting for you always! Big hug, Justine ❤️
How do you define success?
Friend—a financial hardship can stop you dead in your tracks and leave you confused, overwhelmed, and anxious. But I’ve got great (and hopeful news), hardships are temporary and with small steps, you can overcome these financial challenges Here are 10 ways you can push yourself up from financial hardship: ✨Create an intentional budget ✨Reduce unnecessary expenses ✨Prioritize debt repayment ✨Build an emergency fund ✨Surround yourself with like-minded people ✨Invest in the stock market ✨Increase your income ✨Self-educate (books, audiobooks, podcasts) ✨Keep positive ✨Ask for help All it takes is one step forward in order to start walking…then running. Remember that What’s something you’d like to work on? Share below! Big hug,
Justine
